Each porcelain disc carries an ornate, Delft-inspired floral transfer in soft, sky blue over an ivory-toned background. On some beads, tiny dragons curl quietly among the flowers—small details that reveal themselves only on closer look. As the vintage motifs vary, a dragon will not appear on every bracelet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e“Tensha” means “transfer” in Japanese—a reference to the delicate decorative image applied to each bead before it is sealed beneath a protective coating. Because each bead was individually decorated and has aged over decades, no two present in precisely the same way.
